Microsoft release early Internet Explorer patch to fix serious security vulnerability
Microsoft are releasing a patch to fix a security hole found in Internet Explorer two weeks early.
The second Tuesday of each month has been dubbed 'patch Tuesday' as this is when Microsoft release patches and updates to any flaws or security holes that have been found in any of their software programs. However, due to the seriousness of the most recent security hole identified in their popular Internet Explorer software they are releasing an early patch to resolve the issue.
The security hole, which was identified by Sunbelt Software takes advantage of a vulnerability in the way certain types of graphics are displayed and there are an increasing number of websites that have been designed to attack PCs using it. This has led to PCs having Spyware software installed and being hijacked.
