Toshiba recalls 'fire-risk' batteries
Following reports of Sony batteries catching fire in laptops earlier this year, Toshiba is to replace about 340,000 batteries that could be a risk.
Many laptop computers from different manufacturers use batteries that have been manufactured by Sony. Earlier this year there were reports of some of these batteries being faulty, resulting in overheating and the small possibility of catching fire.
These reports led to both Dell and Apple recalling all batteries that they felt were at risk and this has now been followed by Toshiba.
