Google to enter the PC software market
Google have announced that they are to start providing software applications for businesses.
Initially their suite of business applications will be provided for free. However, Google aim to charge for them in the future. They plan to host the applications themselves which means that access and use will be via the internet.
Although Google claim not to be replacing existing applications this move could be seen as a direct challange to Microsoft's domination of the business software market.
