Microsoft issue new Internet Explorer patch to replace flawed update
Following reports of a patch to Internet Explorer causing it to crash Microsoft have reissued a new patch.
After a loophole in Internet Explorer was discovered that could allow someone to hijack a PC Microsoft issued a security update in early August. This patch was marked as critical and fixed eight identified flaws in the program.
This original patch resulted in complaints from many users when they found that Internet Explorer would crash when visiting some websites. While this didn't occur for everyone it did for a significant number.
Microsoft have now issued a new fix that resolves this issue.
