BT announces file download deal with Universal

BT have partnered with Universal to provide movies to be downloaded over broadband.

Under the deal consumers will be able to download movies on the same day as their DVD release.

Unlike other services BT will not be providing the facility to rent moves. Although this may happen in the future.
