Microsoft ends support for Windows 98 and Windows ME

Microsoft is calling time on the it's older operating systems.

From July 11th, Microsoftt will end all support for the Windows 98 and Windows ME operating systems. They are urging all users with these operating systems to updgrade to the more secure and robust Windows XP (due to the technology increases since the development of these old systems upgrading is likely to also require a new computer.)

The end of support will mean no new patches for Windows 98 and ME, and more importantly, there will be no new security updates for these operating systems.
