Microsoft release Vista beta software

Microsoft have released the beta version of it's new operating system Vista for general preview.

The new version of Windows promises to be more secure and better looking than the current Windows XP. With the release of this operating system due early 2007 Microsoft are allowing people to download a pre-release version to help with their testing and review program.

As a beta version of the software it is likely to have problems - which is the reason for Microsoft releasing it.

Beta versions of software are released before the final version in order for the software manufacturer to find problems and bugs within the software. It should be noted that you should not download and install a beta version on a PC that you use as your main computer. The beta version is mainly for IT professionals to test and review.
